Inky 500 Season 5

What’s the race format for INKY 500 events?

20 minute Practice Session, followed by a 15 minute Qualifying Session and a 45 minute timed race

During the race, each participant must make a minimum of 1 compulsory pit stop.

How will racing standards be maintained?

If there are any on-track disputes, all racing standards queries should be logged with InkubusJaymz and/or Eugene_Goat, and reviews will take place after the event has concluded on all but exceptional circumstances.

BLUE FLAG RULES

Blue flags are an indication that cars a faster car is approaching on a hotlap (Q) or is about the lap you (R)

  • Drivers being shown a blue flag should not defend their track position, and should yield position at the next safest opportunity (usually on a straight)
  • Drivers being shown a blue flag, when battling with another driver for position, should, without detriment to their own race, maintain race position allowing the faster car to overtake at the earliest opportunity-drivers to be aware and sympathetic to this

There will be situations where this is difficult, but try to respect the other drivers around you and realise that you don’t want to affect your own race, or your other competitors.
